Yes, I recommend the Poverty Challenge.

In a nut shell, you start out with only $100 to your sims name and you have to make them prosper.  There are restrictions like not using aspiration rewards and penalties like -1000 points if your sim is promoted above the entry level (from the newspaper) job.
